It works by weakening your body's defense system (immune system) to help your body accept the new organ as if it were your own.How to use Rapamune OralTake this medication by mouth with or without food, usually once daily or as directed by your doctor. Do not take more than 40 milligrams in any 24-hour period. If you have nausea or an upset stomach, you may take this drug with food, although this may cause your body to absorb less of the drug. Cellmune is used for: Preventing organ rejection following kidney, liver, or heart transplants. This medicine is used in combination with other medicines. Mycophenolate (mye-koe-FEN-oh-late) belongs to a group of medicines known as immunosuppressive agents. It is used to lower the body's natural immunity in patients who receive organ transplants. Cellmune is indicated for the prophylaxis of organ rejection in patients receiving allogeneic renal, cardiac or hepatic transplants. Quinine has a bitter taste.You should begin to feel better during the first 1-2 days of your treatment. Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if they get worse. Also call your doctor if you have a fever soon after you finish your treatment. This could be a sign that you are experiencing a second episode of malaria.Take quinine until you finish the prescription, even if you feel better. If you stop taking quinine too soon or if you skip doses, your infection may not be completely treated and the organisms may become resistant to antimalarials.Quinine is also sometimes used to treat babesiosis (a serious or life-threatening illness that is transmitted from animals to humans by ticks). Nedocromil sodium is a type of anti-inflammatory medicine that is not a corticosteroid. It prevents tissues becoming inflamed when an allergic reaction occurs. It is not fully understood how nedocromil prevents inflammation, but it is thought to work by preventing the release of inflammatory chemicals from cells called mast cells. Mast cells are cells in the immune system that become sensitised in response to foreign particles, or allergens. When this happens, they release chemicals, including histamine, that go on to cause inflammation as part of the bodys allergic response. Allergic inflammation in the lungs is one of the causes of asthma. It causes mucus production and narrows the airways, making it difficult to breathe. As nedocromil reduces the inflammation in the lungs, it makes it easier to breathe and helps prevent asthma attacks. It should be used regularly, even when you have no asthmatic symptoms, to reduce the inflammation in the lungs.Nedocromil can also be useful for preventing shortness of breath caused by exercise.
